The Anatomy of a Perfect Pizza

Though Pizza originated in Italy, as claimed by the Italians, it is a given fact that this delicious plate of dough is enjoyed by many people around the world. Some people consider a pizza as a complete meal. Why not? This article will show you the anatomy of a perfect pizza and why it’s for you.

Dough – everything starts with the freshly baked dough. The dough is composed of high quality flour, salt, water, yeast and olive oil. Some people use an Italian double-zero flour, durum flour, a combination of both or any other first class flour. The pizza dough, when baked, is rich in carbohydrates which will give you energy to go on with your day.

Tomato Sauce – this is the base sauce in any pizza. It is very crucial that any pizzeria captures the right taste of their tomato sauce because this could make or break your pizza. Tomato is rich on omega-3, an antioxidant that helps prevent cancer and promote healthy cells.

Cheese – a pizza will never be a pizza without the ever popular Mozzarella cheese. Though some other pizzeria adds other variety of cheese, Mozzarella is still the most popular cheese for pizzas. Since cheese is a milk-based product, it is therefore very rich in calcium. Calcium helps make our teeth and bones stronger.

Toppings – We can add just about any topping in a pizza. There are white onions, bell pepper, Olives, Mushroom, garlic, etc for the vegetables which provides us vitamins and minerals; Bacon, pepperoni, chicken, beef, seafood, ham, prosciutto, meat balls, salami, sausage, etc for the meat which provides us protein to help build and repair our muscles.

Fats – as pizza is being cooked, oil from the meat and cheese comes out. The fat from the pizza, may be dangerous in excess, is beneficial in moderate intake because fat maintains healthy hair and skin, maintains body temperature, and promotes healthy cell function.

And with the right combination of the dough, tomato sauce, cheese and toppings, one can create the perfect pizza for that perfect occasion; Whether, it would be birthday parties, office parties, beer parties or simply enjoying that delicious slice alone or with someone while watching your favorite TV series. You can enjoy your delicious and mouth-watering thin crust, thick crust or even stuffed crust perfect pizza. With just a little bit of imagination and a good sense of taste you can create your own perfect pizza.
